We have been hard at work preparing Gallery 2 for reopening! The polycarbonate barriers are installed, the hand sanitizer is stocked, the procedures are written, and the signage is up! The past few weeks have been a flurry of activity, we have transformed the entry sequence at Gallery 2, not only to operate safely and comply with new regulations, but also to offer a coherent and unified visitor experience. We are asking everyone to use the front doors – facing Central Avenue. Please wear your mask, sanitize your hands, and check in at the Visitor Services desk, relocated to the freshly painted main lobby. Our Visitor Services staff will orient you to the building, provide information on our COVID procedures and expectations, our current exhibitions, and answer any other questions. The experience should be open and inviting while remaining legible and navigable. We will be reviewing and adjusting our procedures as required, this is uncharted territory, after all. Our priority is to ensure the health and safety of our staff, visitors, and community – we hope you will feel comfortable visiting Gallery 2.
