The Grand Forks Choral Society is thrilled to present a concert to our near and dear communities this Christmas season. Despite Covid shutting down all group singing in March, and despite our current social “lockdown” we can share a little seasonal cheer with you! This virtual Christmas concert project began with the intention of lifting the spirits of seniors in our local care facilities, as well as others isolated from their community during these lonely pandemic times. We hope we have accomplished this. The marvels of technology allow us to share our concert with the broader community and with our relatives and friends from afar. Although we much prefer singing together and sharing with our live audience. This production has been a “gift” to our choristers as well. Our spirits are brightened being able to share this recording with you all.
Special mention goes out to our technical wizard, Gary Cuthbert, and to the stellar photographers, Peter Kalasz and Tina Bryan, who so generously shared many of the photos you see in this production. The other photographs were taken from choral society archives, many of which were taken by our dear recently departed choir member, Erna Gobbett.
Thank you to the Grand Forks Art Gallery Society for partnering with us on this project.
Merry Christmas to all!
