Richard Reid

Richard Reid, R.C.A. lives in Grand Forks. His work concentrates on the human figure but also includes abstract and landscape paintings. He received his BFA at the University of Manitoba, and taught at UBC. He became the founding curator of the Grand Forks Art Gallery from 1984 to 2003. His work has been exhibited widely, locally, nationally, and internationally. He rarely works outside his studio and primarily paints from memory without visual reference to the subject matter.
