I moved to the Boundary in 2014 and took up painting on canvas. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember but never had the opportunity to really focus on painting. I get my inspiration from the landscape I live in. I paint from my own photos and imagination to produce the scenes I prefer. I love the natural world and try to paint the environment and then paint the animal or bird as an 'accessory' to the environment. It is very important to me to capture the very essence of the animal in my paintings so I take great care to capture their character as an individual, not just another fox or bird.
