Artist Statement: My work is influenced by the traditional patterns and colours of Japan which I have seen growing up in Japan. As a ceramic artist now living in the west, my work has blended the spiritual and physical influences in my life. This is coupled by the images in my work which express the constant and continued exploration of shape and colour.

The Gallery 2 Gift Shop has evolved over the past twenty-seven years from a little after-thought-hole-in-the-wall to a bright and vibrant shop with its revenues supporting many of the gallery’s general expenses. We do our best not to compete with the other businesses in town and are always happy to refer people to local shops or studios.

We carry some Boundary Artists’ works but the majority of handcrafted items come from the Kootenay region and other BC artists. The Gift Shop has a great selection of pottery featuring artisans from Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast to Nelson and points in between.

Shop at the Gallery 2 Gift Shop. It is a great way to support your gallery as well as local artists and artisans.
